The system itself works great. After a month, it seems to do what it promises: remove iron from the water. No more stained toilets. But the manuals are TERRIBLE. And SoftPro's online guidance isn't much better. The manual is written for a water softener with incomplete instructions about how to set up and operate an iron filter. And what little there is in the instructions is either cryptic or just plain confusing. A competent tech writer should completely revise the manual and the videos, making them specific to the iron filter only.

So far, so good! I took a bath last night for the first time and the water was nice and clear ❤️ Time will tell how well it cleans the water after several months of backwashing. It does make unusual sounds when it’s doing that, as my video shows. Is that normal?

I replaced a water softener that was installed when our house was built to remove iron from our well water. It never worked very effectively. Our well water is actually fairly soft, but has excess iron. I installed the AIO Iron Master Katalox Water Filter and Viqua VH410 Home Stainless Steel UltraViolet Water Disinfection System. The installation was well within the capabilities of the average "do it yourself" homeowner. The iron filter arrived upside down, which required pouring out some media to get the plastic tube inside in place, and the UV filter arrived without the UV light. I had to wait for the arrival of the missing light. Our water is now rust free for the first time. We are pleased with both products.

We purchased the 89A10 well water filter because of iron in our well water. I wish I had researched the unit more thoroughly before buying but, in retrospect, would have still purchased it. A few issues: Package was very heavy (125+lbs. Tough to handle for a 74yo. Thankfully my son was available to help.) Package not marked as to which end was up, so stored it with the narrow end up. This was upside down for about a month. Top cap was stuck to the inside pipe. Removing it caused the pipe to be pulled out by about 4" and was embedded in the medium. Maintenace advised to set it on the side and allow the medium to settle to reset the pipe position. Worked great. Original location had to be changed, as closest drain was a floor drain about 20ft away. Didn't realize the backwash would discharge over 70 gallons of water every 4 days, and the floor drain would not handle that volume. Went smooth from that point on. Had our local plumber connect the well water feed, and the backwash drain hose to a nearby drain. Setup was simple. It's just been running 2 days, but there is a noticeable improvement in the quality and flow of our water. A Test of the water show less than 1 part iron, and very low readings on all other minerals tested.

Had to redo all pipes to 1 inch made it look better ,inside hose came up when removing cap tech support was great to fix problem.have no more iron smell .case you didnt catch it i installed myself about 3 hours due to pipe replacement

First let me say I installed this myself and I have some previous plumbing experience but just about anyone with some handyman skills could easily install this themselves. This filter works as advertised. We have well water and before the filter we would have to clean toilets sinks and showers every couple of days because of the iron buildup it’s been 2-3 weeks and absolutely zero rust anywhere and I can drink water from any faucet and there is zero bad taste. It’s amazing really! (If you’re installing yourself watch the video on YouTube on how to set up with all the proper inputs because there’s nothing in the instructions that tells you how and I would have never known otherwise)

I replaced an old iron filter that used potassium permaganate with the SoftPro Air Injection Iron Filter. The iron filter precedes a water softner. Installation was a straightforward swap with bonus I was able to remove the potassium permaganate brine tank. I selected the SoftPro AIO design because my well water has very high iron (20 ppm) and most iron filters cannot handle that. After installation I had our kitchen tap water tested by an independent lab and I was happy to see the levels of iron, maganese, lead and arsenic were effectively zero (none detected). I am also happy to eliminate the potassium permaganate hassle and increasing costs.

Living in the Blackhills of South Dakota is great, except for the high iron in well water. Had a cartridge pre-filter, larger cartridge filter, water softener, and still couldn’t drink the water. The water stained everything, appliances, sinks, toilets, even my wife’s blond hair! Installed SoftPro iron filter and problems are gone. We were buying bottled drinking water, and being curious I poured a glass of bottled water and poured a glass of water from kitchen faucet, and the faucet water was actually clearer! Only problem I encountered was tank must have been laid down and rolled around during shipping, and when I unscrewed cap on tank the distributor tube inside was stuck to cap and pulled up enough that I couldn’t get control unit to screw on. I called customer service and followed her directions and problem was solved. You should see my wife’s hair now!!!

It was an easy hook up for me I was replacing an 16 year old McClean water treatment system and the dimensions were very close. It is working great and is just what my house and well water system needed. I do want to say that the packaging of the tank and value assembly was pretty poor. They arrived at my house thru FedEx and came in two boxes that were taped together to cover the tank and a box that had the value in it. The value was packed ok but the tank had nothing to protect no packing material around it other then the thin cardboard box that by the time it got to my house was in pretty bad shape. In fact the fiberglass tank had a few chips in it. Shipping of a 1050.00 system should be better.

Works fantastically.. had to make a few pipe adjustments because this unit was 2" taller than the one it replaced but no problems whatsoever on the installation... water is crystal clear, no more rust stains in toilets or showers.

I am happy with the unit as it appears to be very effective in removing the iron from our water. I am somewhat disappointed that I did not receive emails from your help desk regarding the marking of inlet and outlet ports on the unit. The instructions implied one thing and the ribbons on the unit implied the opposite. I went with the ribbon markings as I assumed they would be the correct hookup. One other issue regards the programming instructions which indicate a brine and backwash cycle which is confusing. I had hoped for a more responsive reply from your help desk.
So far works great! Haven't had to scrub rust stains out of my sinks and bathtub since it was installled a little over a month ago.

I was Shocked by the phone Support of this Great Company. They got back to me when i left a message and there simple explanation of everything was hands down one of the best experiences i ever witnessed. i followed the simple Instructions and everything went exactly as promised. The toilet bowl water was Orange after every Flush prior to Installing there unit and the water also had a rotten egg smell to it. once i installed it i flushed the toilet once and the Water already looked very Clear. i could believe my eyes after i flushed the toilet for the second time. The water was crystal clear with 0 smell. Assume unit and Assume people. Thank You very Much.

Since I installed the water has been perfect. I have had 2 other people ask me to get them each one. I am now waiting for the third system to arrive. So far they have worked flawlessly.
Had to hire someone to install, directions were too confusing but now that it's working my water is clean again!
This survey should wait a bit to be done. My system is in. Things like: 1) be sure to provide a level surface for the canister that is up off the ground, 2) consider adequate drainage for about 20 gallons of water, and 3) plan to place the unit in an enclosed area. These items should be added to the description. I have no plumbing experience and had to regroup after the unit arrived. The area I planned for the unit would not work after the plumber thought it would. So it ended up outside. I am good to go now (am waiting for a carpenter to enclose it), but I had to retro fit a hose for gray water drainage. Then realized that was a lot of water! and added a flexible hose to extend the drainage in the yard. My dogs love the fresher water. I love the belief that my appliances will not deteriorate as fast. The cost of a plumber equals the cost of the unit, and the installation recommendation for the warranty was a licensed plumber. So, there it is. In a year or two, I can attest to liking the system without reservation. Thanks.

Most guys find out the hard way. A rust ring around the toilet bowl. Orange gunk creeping up the shower drain. A metallic bite in their morning coffee that makes them wonder what the heck they’ve been drinking this whole time.
